Directors Guild of America, 7920 Sunset Blvd., West Hollywood, CA 90046
APABA will co-present a screening of
GIVE UP TOMORROW
at Visual Communications’ upcoming Asian Pacific Film Festival. This feature-length documentary explores a kidnapping-rape-murder case that was an all-consuming media circus in the Philippines in the late 1990s and focuses on the ongoing struggle of Francisco “Paco” Juan Larranaga, a young culinary school student convicted and sentenced to death for the crime, to prove his innocence. GIVE UP TOMORROW is a piercing case study of political and judicial corruption involving some of the most politically prominent and powerful families in the Philippines.
