  • Saturday, March 08, 2014
  • 9:30 AM - 12:30 PM
  • Asian Americans Advancing Justice-LA, 1145 Wilshire Blvd., Los Angeles, CA 90017
Low wage workers and other litigants who fight to obtain a judgment for payment of unpaid wages or other monetary damages often face a second challenge: collecting on the judgment. Come learn about challenges in enforcing a judgment in California courts, and how you can help. By the end of this training, whether you're a transactional attorney or a litigator, you will be prepared to enforce a judgment! Topics will include: perfecting liens and levying on real estate and personal property, how to conduct a judgment debtor examination when affirmative litigation is necessary, and how to use a mechanic's lien. For more information, please see the event flyer.

3 hours of MCLE credit will be provided by Asian Americans Advancing Justice-Los Angeles, a State Bar-approved MCLE Provider.

Admission is free for APABA members and $10 for all others. RSVP to Nisha N. Vyas, Director of Pro Bono Programs at Asian Americans Advancing Justice-Los Angeles, at probono@advancingjustice-la.org.

Free parking available at Advancing Justice-LA (entrance on Lucas Avenue).
